From the author of John Proctor Is the Villain (2025 Broadway production, directed by Danya Taymor and starring Sadie Sink), Lost Girl is a coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss that continues the story of J.M. Barrie’s beloved character – Wendy, the girl who had to grow up. Long after returning from Neverland, Wendy decides that she must find Peter in order to reclaim her kiss and move on with her life. Along the way, she meets other girls who went to Neverland and learns she is not alone. Lost Girl is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatrical Corp. www.concordtheatricals.com

OUR VERY OWN SYDNEY JORDAN HAS BEEN NOMINATED TO REPRESENT THE STATE OF OREGON AT THE 2026 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE awards, also knows as the JIMMY AWARDS IN NEW YORK CITY!!!

Sydney became a finalist after being nominated for her role as Eurydice in our fall musical Hadestown and most recently played Velma Kelly in our spring production of Chicago.

OUR FALL MUSICAL “HADESTOWN “

Additionally, our Sydney Jordan (Eurydice) & Gemma Pendergast (Persephone), are between the 4 finalists as Female Identifying Outstanding Performer in a Leading Role!

This inaugural year, 18 Oregon schools submitted a full-length musical produced during the academic year for consideration. Trained evaluators with industry experience attended each production and evaluated performances using a standardized scoring process and provided written feedback.  

“We are thrilled to host Oregon’s first Regional Awards Program of the Jimmy Awards. The Hult High School Musical Theatre Awards celebrates and honors the extraordinary work of students and educators across the state.” Said Jen Cumberworth, Director of Community & Creative Learning. “This program connects young performers to remarkable opportunities, valuable tools, and unforgettable experiences. We are honored to create space for such inspiring young talent and cannot wait to see what the future holds!” 

HHSMTA program will serve as a springboard for students pursuing careers in theater, with alums going on to study and work in the industry at the collegiate and professional levels. The program’s Top 2 Outstanding Performers in a Leading Role (aka Oregon’s Jimmy Nominees) will receive a trip to New York City to represent Oregon at the National High School Musical Theater Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. There, they join top student performers from across the country to train, perform and compete in one of the highest honors in high school musical theater.

LINCOLN DRAMA DEPARTMENT

Lincoln High School's Theatre Department is lead by Teacher and Director Janet Van Wess. It provides theatrical experiences that challenge and educate both students and the community featuring plays, musicals, student-written and student-directed performances. Our focus is on cast and crew collaborating with each other, with professional partners, and with our supportive community. Lincoln is a proud member of the International Thespian Society representing Oregon as Troupe #4719.
